I am not stealing a movie title.......literally one of my closest dearest bestest friends got married. This woman is basically like my sister. We have had our up's and down's but have managed to navigate some pretty serious waters over the years. At first I was bummed when she told me she already had a wedding photographer. But then she asked me to be one of her bridesmaid's. Honestly I wouldn't change that for anything in the world.......because being her bridesmaid is way better then being her photographer. I actually got to be in her wedding photos. Which is what both of us wanted in the end.
She said she was so torn because she wanted me to be her photographer. BUT she wanted me in the wedding too.....Ironic right? So after talking to her and the photographer. Who we both know personally. I brought my camera and took a few photos of my own. How could I not? My best friend was getting married & I most definitely couldn't not take any photos. I had to get some lol. However I will admit it was nice, not having to run around like a mad woman to insure I got every shot of her special day. It was way better getting to take the creative shots I wanted and just relax. Not to mention I had a list of bridesmaid's duties.......so there is no way I could have done it all. It made the day more special being able to sit and chat with the bridesmaids. All amazing women who were each close to the bride and been added to her eclectic group of friendship over the last 15 years of her life. I only knew one of the bridesmaid's; this was the first time I had gotten to know all of her other close friends; friends she made back east in college. It was a truly amazing experience getting to share stories about our bride best friend and to actually all feel like we could be best friends too. So I hope you enjoy these great images I took of my best friend. She was absolutely raidiant! Here are the pictures of the owl themed baby shower we had for baby girl! I had so much fun digging around on Pinterest for ideas and decorations. I am getting more and more excited for baby's arrival so I can do her newborn photos too! I got the cutest newborn outfit for the session at my shower!!!! The shower was a blast we played some fun games like guess the baby logos, make baby names out of mom and dad's names, break the baby out of the ice, and remember what's on the diaper cake. The food was AMAZINGLY delicious little smokie's wrapped in bacon, grilled chicken, fruit, spinach dip, and yummy owl cupcakes. We even had a photo booth which was super fun!!! Hope you enjoy the photos!
I haven't blogged in a while. I told you from the beginning blogging wasn't my strong suit. So back in October we went to Vegas for vacation. I decided that I wanted to take pictures from vacation that were more professional then I normally would. I had so much fun taking photos of the strip at night. The only thing that would have been better would have been to get a night aerial shot. Hope you enjoy them! Happy Monday!
So I have had this vision for a while to do an outdoor boudoir session in an old car. However I wasn't sure what type of old classic to use. Until last week. My husband owns a car hauling company. A friend of ours called and said he needed my husband to transport a car for him. In this case it was a 1929 Ford Pickup roadster! I was super excited to see this beautiful finished truck. It sat at my house for a few days and after looking it over it hit me. How awesome would it be to do a boudoir session in this truck??? So I went and grabbed the camera some heels and some lingerie and started shooting. The only thing I wished I had was someone to put the outfit on and sit in the car! Sadly I no longer have the truck or access to it. BUT I do know that the state of Washington is full of old car roadsters and trucks. So I am hoping to do a discounted boudoir session for someone that has some land and a truck similar to this one. I LOVE old cars and I LOVE shooting boudoir. So for me this would be the perfect combo. I love getting cool close up detail shots on cars which could easily be done with boudoir. So if you would be interested in doing a shoot like this definitely message me! Soon I hope that we can do boudoir for clients using our old cars. Of course we have to get them running. My husband's 1960 Ford Thunderbird is the perfect sexy boudoir car in my opinion. BUT it really needs to have some interior work, so I won't probably be using his for a few years. I have a 1967 Mercury Cougar, but it's a muscle car and I struggle with the boudoir concept working on it. However the back seat in my car is pretty like the backseat in this roadster truck! I hope you like the images they turned out super cute for not having any one in them. Maybe I should do product photography?? :)
Here are some headshots I took at the beautiful Farmer's Park in Enumclaw. I love doing professional headshots especially for other photographer's. It is great advertising for my company. I love to trade headshots too. Because then both photographers benefit from the shoot so they can advertise each other's business' :)
As a photographer some of my favorite sessions are one on one sessions to do portraits. Below are some of my favorite portrait sessions. I love being able to capture images that are not considered your traditional indoor portraits or poses. I also am extremely laid back. I find that it is so important to capture relaxed moments that are natural and comfortable to my clients.
One of my favorite types of sessions to shoot is maternity. I love capturing that special glow soon to be mama's have when they are in there last trimester of pregnancy. This year I am hoping to do some maternity with mama's in the water. I have this vision I would LOVE to see come to life in a photograph. I love the beauty I am able to capture when I am photographing pregnant momma's. So here are a few of my fave maternity shots that I took last year. I hope you like them. Are you interested in booking a maternity session this summer to be in the water? If so contact me and we can meet for a drink and a snack and talk details!
Hello everyone!
So I have been playing around in photo shop trying to create and design a new logo that makes sense to my photography business. I really want a camera in my logo. I feel it is important as to the name I have chosen for my company. I really need my logo to scream camera. So I have put together a few different styles. I was hoping you all could help me out by voting for your fave and then tell me why you chose it. OR if you just are looking at these and don't feel like ANY of them scream camera please share with me. I want to know what your thoughts are. Also feel free to share this with friends too! The more opinions I get the better! You should be able to leave a comment below the post! Thanks everyone!!!! I had the lovely privilege of doing a photo session for the lovely Samantha of Picturesque Art Photography. I captured some great images of her and her husband Mickey, for their Christmas cards this year. We did them at the stunning Clarke Lake in Kent, Wa. I have never photographed there in the winter. Only late spring early summer. It is just as stunning in the winter as it is in the spring!!! I got some AWESOME shots! I hope you all enjoy!
